Proposals for the section of Bus Route 38 shown on the map, Essex Road, include:
- modified bus lanes and junction improvements
- overall reduced delays and journey times for all vehicles
- modified all day waiting and loading bays and protection to parked vehicles
- improved provision for cyclists and safety for pedestrians
