Westminster - Piccadilly
The consultation period for this section of Bus Route 38 ended on 17th March 2008.
Proposals for the section of Bus Route 38 shown on the map, Piccadilly, include:
- a westbound and eastbound bus way along Piccadilly between Piccadilly Circus to St. James's Street;
- new central reserve to accommodate loading bays, taxi rank, bus stops and pedestrians;
- junction improvements along Piccadilly at Berkerley Street, St. James's Street, Old Bond Street, Duke Street, Swallow Street and Air Street;
- the reversal of Air Street to create a better link between Piccadilly and Regent Street;
- and improved pedestrian safety and better pedestrian crossing facilities.
